Methodology
How a birth chart is actually read
A Vedic birth chart maps the planetary positions at the moment of birth. Reading begins with the Lagna (ascendant), since it sets the orientation of every house in the chart. From there, the placement and relationships of the nine grahas are considered, followed by the relevant dasha period and any current transits - this is what determines timing, not just possibility.
For a compatibility reading, both charts are read together rather than reduced to a single Guna score, and any dosha found is checked against its known cancellation conditions before it is treated as significant.
