Consultation
Vastu for Offices & Commercial Spaces
Commercial Vastu assesses the directional layout of an office, shop or workshop — entrance, seating, cabin placement, accounts and storage zones. Most recommendations involve rearrangement rather than construction, which matters when a lease limits what you can change.
What is assessed
Main entrance direction and approach · owner and management seating · staff seating orientation · accounts, cash and safe placement · reception and waiting area · storage and heavy equipment · pantry and washrooms · server and electrical rooms · for retail, the display and billing layout.
Types of premises
Offices — cabin allocation, seating direction, meeting rooms, reception. Retail — entrance, billing counter, display orientation, stockroom. Workshops and small industry — machinery placement, raw material and finished goods storage, fire and water zones. Clinics and consulting rooms — practitioner seating, waiting area, records.
Working within constraints
Most commercial premises are leased, fitted out, and occupied. Recommendations are given in priority order and separated into what can be done immediately, what to plan for at the next refit, and what would only apply to a new premises.

Common questions
Can this be done from a floor plan?
Yes, and for offices it is often the practical route. Send the plan with north marked, plus photographs of the entrance and main working areas. A site visit adds detail for larger or more complex premises.
We are on a lease and cannot make structural changes. Is it still worth it?
Yes — this is the most common situation and most of the workable correction lies in what you can change anyway. Seating direction, cabin allocation, where accounts and cash are kept, storage placement, reception position and lighting are all typically within a tenant's control.
Do you work alongside architects and interior designers?
Yes. Bringing us in at the design stage is considerably more efficient than correcting afterwards, and we are used to working to a drawing set and giving feedback the design team can act on.
Will this improve my business?
We do not make that claim, and you should be cautious of anyone who does. Vastu addresses layout, direction and use of space. Business performance depends on a great many things a floor plan does not control.
