What the chart shows
A Janam Kundli maps the position of the planets at the moment and place of your birth. From it we read:

What details are needed

How the consultation runs
The chart is prepared in advance. During the consultation we walk through what it shows in the areas you have asked about, using plain language rather than technical vocabulary — though if you want the technical detail, ask and you will get it.
Where the chart indicates a difficult period, we say so and explain what the indication actually covers. Where a remedy is genuinely appropriate, it is suggested with its reasoning. Where nothing is required, we say that too.
Timing questions
Most people come with a timing question — when to change jobs, when a marriage is likely, whether this is the right year for a property decision. Vedic astrology approaches these through dasha periods and transits, and it does so in ranges rather than dates. Anyone offering you an exact date for an uncertain future event is overstating what the method can do.

Do I need my exact birth time for a Kundli reading?
Yes, as precisely as you can get it. The lagna — the rising sign — changes roughly every two hours, and it sets the entire house structure of the chart. A birth certificate or hospital record is the most reliable source. If the time is genuinely unknown, a partial reading is still possible, and Prasna Jyotish is an alternative that needs no birth details at all.
What if I do not know my birth time at all?
Two options. Birth-time rectification uses known life events to narrow the likely time, though it is approximate and takes longer. Or use Prasna Jyotish, which answers a specific question from the moment it is asked rather than from a birth chart. We will tell you which is more appropriate for what you want to know.

How long does a consultation take?
Typically 45 to 60 minutes for a full reading. Focused questions take less. The chart is prepared before you arrive, so the time is spent on the discussion rather than the calculation.
Will I be told something frightening?
No. Charts contain difficult periods as well as favourable ones, and we describe both accurately. What we do not do is present a difficult period as a catastrophe, or suggest that an expensive ritual is the only thing standing between you and disaster. If a remedy is appropriate we explain why, what it involves and what it is meant to address.
